Important Reminder re Health, Religious or Compassionate Absences for MD or DDS students
If you have a health, religious or compassionate reason that requires a signficant change to your schedule, you must request this EACH year via the Learner Equity & Wellness Office. Examples might include: weekly health appointments which will require some adjustment to your small group or clerkship schedule, exam accommodations due to learning disability or chronic health condition. Where possible, this should be done with as much notice as possible.
To submit a request, please email equity.wellness@schulich.uwo.ca to arrange an appointment with a member of the LEW team.
For requests of only a few days, please use the regular attendance reporting process as outlined at: http://www.schulich.uwo.ca/medicine/undergraduate/academic_resources/attendance_absenteeism.html (for UME) or as outlined on your Dentistry course syllabi.
